Big Air is a Tidewater Dockdog Favorite. Big Air is a judging of distance. During the competition you are judged by how far your dog can jump from the edge of the dock across the pool. The dog runs down the dock to generate momentum. The distance is calculated from the edge of the dock to where the base of the tail hits the water. There are 3 divisions so all dogs with different jumping distances can join in the fun and have success. The dock is 40 feet long and the pool holds 28 000 gallons of water. The current record is held by Country, a greyhound/coonhound mix from PA.
